DESCRIPTION:Rowlett CERT will be hosting the When Disaster Strikes: Prepare
 \, Act\, Survive class on March 5th and 6th\, 2022.  The two day course 
 is presented by professional TEEX instructors and is free of charge for pa
 rticipants.  Details are below but this class is for any member of the pu
 blic who may be impacted by a disaster.  Please forward the information t
 o your respective organizations\, congregations\, and businesses as anyone

 EEX.ORG\n\nRegistrants will need to sign up for a TEEX student account\, b
 ut this is also free and easy.\nCourse Description\nThis course is designe
 d to prepare individuals who may be directly affected by a disaster to hel
 p themselves\, their family and other community members. Participants will
  learn how to develop a family preparedness plan\, practice self-rescue\, 
 perform search and light rescue techniques\, and understand the recovery p
 rocess.\nPrerequisites\nThere are no prerequisites for this course.\nCours
 e Completion Requirements\nMust attend 80% of the course\n\nMust pass a po
 st test with a score of 70%\nAttendance Requirements\nParental consent for
 m if under 18 years of age\nRecommended Course Attire\nPlease wear weathe
 r appropriate\, comfortable clothing and footwear for inside and outside a
 ctivities. You will not need any specialized personal protective equipment

 lunteer Fire Departments\n 	Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT)\n 	Y
 outh Groups\n 	American Red Cross (ARC)\n 	Non-Governmental Organizations 
 (NGO) and members of the general community who may find themselves in the 
 impact zone of an incident and in the absence of emergency responders.\n\n
 This training does not qualify the participants to serve in an emergency r
