Dallas Chapter Assists Anna Police Department (Volunteers Needed)

I want to do a shout-out to our chapter members who answered the call on June 3^rd to assist the Anna Police Department, which is being challenged with rapid growth in their area.  Their department consists of only 25 police officers, one being a K9 officer.  Members Darryl Loy, Jim Shephard, and Anna resident, Peggy Shelley were wonderful.  The chapter provided David’s Barbecue for the Anna PD.

Anna is in need of our help volunteering with their upcoming Saturday, June 26^th event, “Boots and Booms”.  It will have music and fireworks so if you volunteer, take a chair to enjoy the event after your part is done.

There will be four main gates for the public to enter.  We are being asked to assist at the gates and make sure children do not wander off from their adults.

Please register for this event to be a volunteer as Anna needs no less than 10 of us.  Peggy Shelley will be the chapter contact with the sign-in sheet at the command center.  We ask that you be at the command center by 4:00 p.m. for the briefing by the chief.  Slayter Creek Park is located at 425 W. Rosemond Parkway, Anna, TX 75409 just off north I75.
