Our FBI partners have prominently featured the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association on their website for the work our Chapters and members do as community outreach ambassadors for the FBI. The expansive story and video interviews with both National and Chapter leaders can be found on fbi.gov.
James Eppard, a reporter with fbi.gov, attended the 2021 National Leadership Conference in Las Vegas this past September. While there, he covered our featured speakers and training sessions, including the keynote address from FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate, who said:
“Everything the FBI is trying to accomplish depends upon having the trust and support of the American people. You spent time during your weeks at the Citizens Academy getting to know us. And now as alumni, you’re taking time to educate your friends and neighbors about us. By doing so, you’re building bridges between law enforcement and your communities.”
The story at fbi.gov showcases the history and purpose of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association and how FBI leaders recognize the value of our organization in aiding the Bureau's community outreach mission and priorities.
Thank you! What an honor it is to be a member of this prestigious organization, and to work together with with you and our FBI partners - all united in a quest to keep our communities safe.
