On Thursday, June 23, 2016, the FBI Dallas Division will once again host the FBI Dallas Teen Academy.
The Teen Academy is a one day overview of the FBI for young adults between the ages of 13-18 and who have not yet completed high school. The day will begin at 8:15 am and conclude at 5:00 pm. Topics have traditionally included presentations in Counterterrorism, Cyber-Internet Safety, Drugs, demonstrations in Evidence Response Team (ERT), Crisis Negotiation, Bomb Tech program, and SWAT. Applicant Recruiting will be featured during the lunch break (topics subject to change).
Lunch this year will be pizza, sodas, and water. Lunch will be provided at a cost of $5.00 per teen. If, selected the teen will need to bring their money on the day of the event during the check in process. If the applicant has a dietary restriction and cannot eat pizza, vegetarian pizza, gluten or cheese products, please have them bring a sack lunch and we will secure it until lunchtime. This is very important as every year we have had some children that could not eat any of the offered selections at lunchtime.
Applicants and parents/guardian must complete the attached application, indemnity form and photo consent release form (total of 3 items) and return to Angela Harris via email or mail, no later than April 29, 2016.
Due to overwhelming number of candidates we receive for the limited slots, all applicants are not guaranteed a slot for the Teen Academy.
